The Royal Canadian Mint’s 1-oz Silver Maple Leaf coins are among the world’s premier government-issued pure silver coins. Silver Maple Leafs are .9999 fine (99.99% pure), and each coin contain exactly one ounce of silver and carries a C$5 face value.
Several other governments mint 1-oz pure silver coins that are .999 fine, such as the U.S. Mint’s American Silver Eagles. However, the investment community puts no significance on the difference between .999 silver and .9999 silver. Silver Eagles, although .999 fine, are the best selling government-issued 1-oz pure silver coins in the world. Still, some investors believe that in the future there may be a significant difference and opt for the Canadian Silver Maple Leaf coins because of their higher purity.
The RCM produces the popular Canadian Gold Maple Leaf coins, which are among the world’s most popular pure gold bullion coins

Silver Maple Leaf prices
Silver Maple Leafs usually sell a few cents per ounce cheaper than US Mint Silver Eagles. CMI prices are competitive with all established dealers. Multiple-box orders enjoy price discounts.
American Silver Eagles are the Silver Maple Leafs’ biggest competition. A sealed box of 500 Silver Eagles is often called a Silver Eagle monster box. As noted, Silver Eagles normally sell at higher premiums than the Canadian Maple Leaf Silver coins.
