$5 Liberty (XF)
100 years ago, the United States $5 gold coin was a mainstay of the American monetary system. It was referred to as a 'half eagle,' was about the size of a nickel, struck in 90% pure gold, and represented about a week's worth of farm labor. We have available a small quantity of these "Liberty head" coins, each containing almost a quarter ounce of pure gold (.2419 agw), in Very Fine to Extra Fine condition.
