Gold Investment - Collectible Bullion Coins:
2003 Perth Mint Gold Goats
The year 2003 Goat gold investment bullion Lunar coin is the eighth coin in the Perth Mint's 12-coin Lunar Series. As with all the 1-oz gold Lunar Series coins, production is limited to 30,000 coins. All the gold coins in the Lunar Series are minted of .9999 fine gold, and each coin comes individually encapsulated in plastic protective capsules.
The obverse of 2003 Goat gold investment bullion Lunar coin carries the effigy of a mature Queen Elizabeth, the third official likeness of the Queen released by Buckingham Palace during her reign. The first three coins in the Series carry a younger version of the Queen. Lunar Series coins dated 1999 through 2007 carry (or will carry) the mature rendition.
CMIGS recommends that gold buyers consider the 1-oz gold Lunar Coins when investing in gold. In the past, collectible coins have risen to very high prices during precious metals bull markets. Sometimes those markets have overheated, and collectible coinss have achieved unrealistic prices.
Because The Perth Mint Lunar Series coins are among the most exquisite coins being minted, because the 1-oz gold coins are limited to 30,000, and because of the timeliness of the Lunar Series, CMIGS believes the Lunar Series 1-oz gold coins hold the potential to become sought after collectible coins.
We are confident that the metals are in a bull market that will run for years. If we are right, the Lunar Series coins should do very well. The Lunar Series 1-oz gold coins sell for only a few dollars more than current year 1-oz Gold Eagles, which are unlimited production coins.
Before buying any unlimited production gold investment bullion Lunar coin, visitors should read our Perth Mint Lunar Series Overview.
Other Goat Years include 1991, 1979, 1967, 1955, 1943, 1931, 1919, and 1907.
